Happy Halloween!

It’s bittersweet to think that one of the best holidays is almost over. Already, Christmas decor is moving in and your local Target is ready to slap Clearance stickers on giant bags of Halloween themed candy.

I mention Target because it was big on great affordable decor this year. It was impossible to go on a Target run without coming back with some new trinket (although this is true year round).

But, this post isn’t just to fondly remember the great moments in halloween decor and the end of this witchy season, it’s to share a gift my best friends gave me on my recent trip to Florida.

They took me to Prometheus Esoterica in Winter Park, FL where it can feel like Halloween year round.

While there, I was fascinated by the shelves of real animal skeletons, easy to-go spells, and an authentic amputation kit from the 1800s.

When I got back home to California I had to find the nearest oddity shop (Bearded Lady in Burbank). I’d recommend you do the same if it feels like there’s a piece of your soul that belongs to this mystic holiday.
